Yes, what I really need is music to sit on my butt and stare at the ceiling with.  And please, if I’m going to recline in a chair, I would wear my blue knit dress, pearls, and some black pumps.  But I think what is really helping is “mother’s little helper”.

If you haven’t seen this artists work, you are in for a real treat.  Her porcelain sculptures are fun, beautiful, grotesque, and little bit scary.

I love Montana.  I don’t think I say that enough.  All I have to do is look at this picture and I remember why.  Beautiful blue skies and not a person around for miles.  You can see the horizon line and watch the weather come in.  I miss being able to say “looks like we got 15 minutes before the storm hits us” without looking online or at my blackberry or on the tv to find out.  I feel so out of sync with nature.

Some people, take craft and make it into an art.  I just can’t believe the amount of skill that went into this elephant and the mouse. I could never in a million years take some sculpey and some fabric and mohair and make this.  And then, set it out into the world for someone else to love.  Check out her other work.

My favorite!  Anything with beautiful vintage font.  I love having things in my home that have that old and vintage look, but are soft and comfortable and you aren’t afraid to use them, the way I like them.  Something about vintage French advertising really appeals to me.  I am an old soul and that old soul needs to be surrounded by inspiration. French Larkspur is a beautiful store.
