on the subject of full disclosure
I’m a “spill” kind of gal. My usual dialog with people is, “hi, i’m trina. i am a little insane, so don’t mind me”. I think if we were all truthful, we would all admit we are a little insane. My delusion is that I can do art, hence this:

Where/what and how did you get in? Did you submit samples and they said, ‘oh yes, join us’ or did they hunt you down? Is it an honor? Obviously someone, besides you, believes you have something worth sharing, eh ?l

No, I couldn’t go to this one…. had classes I couldn’t miss. They had asked me previously (saw my art on flickr) if I wanted to submit to their vinyl record show (it was an open call show and they are a pretty new gallery). So I entered records in that show (and that was cool!) and when this one came up it was also an open call so I entered it too. It is really outside of my comfort zone, so I figured I better do it while the opportunity was available. The way I figure it is that you can sit around doing art and wondering if it is crap or you can stick it out there and have someone tell you it is crap. And maybe someone might like it and surprise you. I like my style.

I have always liked your style!!! Your choices of clothes and purses.
My students always tell me how crazy or weird I am also, but they tell me they love me anyway. A student told me the other day that I was the “first one to understand her strangeness and not judge her.” The real secret is that I guess I do judge her because I really do think she is strange and sometimes really annoying, but she is wonderful and creative also and I really do love working with her. So my point is I am glad you are sharing your art with the world and with us. I am proud to your older cousin. I miss having cousins around.
