pinky pixy
This is pinky pixy. She is one of the LittleWaifs. She lives in the garden and takes care of the toadstools.
or at least i think she does. She showed up in a pile of sharpies and paper one morning. I haven’t been doing as much art as of late, too over-run with piles of stuff. Between ebay, etsy, goodwill, fleamarkets, and garage sales I seem to be swimming in the stuff department.
Case in point, after the seeing the movie Enchanted with the childrens, we drove home and there was a settee sitting along the roadside saying “please take me home, you can reupholster me and make me look like the one in the first Domino magazine cover that you love”. Yeah, right. I’ve heard that song before from old furniture. You could join the 1930s wardrobe and behemoth desk/dresser that sit in my garage waiting for me to find a place for you. And the vintage child-size vanity with mirror and chair, and the old coat stand, and the vintage fireplace shelf. Or the mod era chair in my shed waiting for me to clean my craft/computer room area to sit at my desk. I am simply befuddled by good intentions for old furniture. And mannequins. I have: 2 styrofoam heads, a cosmetology head, a giant bust statue that was probably store display(?), a 1950s child-size mannequin, 2 foot mannequins, a front torso hanging mannequin, a vintage half mannequin with no hands, a vintage sewing mannequin, 2 hand mannequins, … i think there are more, I just probably have blocked it out of my brain. I think I must face that I am an antique/junk store owner without a space to sell.
